Baby's 26th ♡ x The Clan Restaurant

9th June 2014, Monday.

Did some researching before I decided on which dinner place to bring the bf to.
I wanted something more unique and ofcourse romantic.
And when I saw The Clan Restaurant's settings and menus etc on their website, I was sold.

"Nestled in a hundred over years old building in the conservation area of Bukit Pasoh and amidst the CBD area, diners can luxuriate in a degustation set menus or be prepared for surprises with Chef’s Table menu on guests’ requests. The restaurant has 2 levels, exhibiting minimalistic and chic & elegant ambience respectively. The CLAN, an all-new dining modern European establishment that is set to take the culinary world by storm.

The 1st level has a open concept kitchen where diners view the live action of the chefs while enjoying their meals. The warmth and cosy ambience sets the mood for all occasions. At The CLAN, European cuisine takes on a modern face, and the dining experience is nothing short of sensorial. The exceptional locale of the restaurant - amidst the city central and within walking distance of the monumental Chinatown of Singapore - is matched by the calming and alluring ambience of its interiors and the tantalizing and aromatic dishes served.

The CLAN is a restaurant where you can expect creative and contemporary renditions of familiar recipes, and innovative pairings that may raise an eyebrow or two, but win sceptics over by teasing their taste-buds into submission. Featured dishes on the menu includes Kurobuta Pork Belly, Spiced Braised Lamb Shank, 48 hours Beef Short Ribs on lava stone and Chocolate Lava with home made gelato.

The six-courses set-meal aims to provide the best value at the most affordable price. Modern European with Asian touches. A marriage between French philosophy of natural seasonal flavors using fresh produce and modern culinary technique results in a honest, sincere and flavorful expression of the cuisine which makes one craves for more. Creativity abounds not only in The Clan's kitchen, but also in the interior of the restaurant. Much emphasis has been placed on the conceptualization and design of the venue, which features contemporary furniture by breathing life to the hundred over years old building.

"We are thrilled to present The Clan and we believe that it will be an iconic cuisine destination for diners seeking good food and impeccable service. The Clan is a restaurant that is set to impress" says Raymond Wong, Operation Manager, The Clan Restaurant.

To maintain the pristine standard of each dish, and to preserve the intimate ambiance of the restaurant, seating is limited. Thus, reservations are strongly recommended.

The perfect venue for an evening soiree, to impress a date or to entertain business associates from out of town, The Clan delivers - and more - with its uncompromising food and service quality and the passionate professionals behind the establishment."

I made a reservation for 2 and told them we will be going for their set dinner.

Baby's 26th ♡ Trick Eye Museum

9th June 2014, Monday.

So the 2nd part of my plan is to go to Trick Eye Museum Singapore! It was just opened 1day before the bf's birthday so it was a last-minute slot-in plan!
And there's 50% off per tickets so it's like paying 1 tickets for 2pax!

And we started our fun! We spent about 1.5-2hours inside.
We were there on a Monday's afternoon, there's no queue for tickets but a queue about 15-30mins to get into the museum!

Trick Eye Museum features 6 engaging and family based themes that will spark imagination and the love of art. The museum’s six interactive zones cover the themes of World of Masterpieces, Safari Kingdom, Star of Circus, Dreams of Fairy Tale, Love in Winter and Adventure Discovery.

Hope the bf enjoyed himself there!
